Driven to Make a Difference
With 16 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, I am passionate about empowering individuals and fostering positive change. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eating Disorder Therapy, and Marriage and Family Counseling, bringing expertise and empathy to every session. I am currently pursuing licensure in Ohio, expanding my reach to support more clients.
My Approach
I believe in a blend of psychoeducation techniques and a person-centered approach, tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. I draw from proven methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method for couples, to guide clients through challenges and help them achieve their goals.
My Focus
I work primarily with teens and adults who are navigating difficulties such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, and bipolar disorder. I also collaborate with couples to address issues like communication, boundaries, infidelity, and the intersection of mental health within relationships.
My Communication Style
I emphasize empathetic and direct communication. This means being clear and straightforward while remaining sensitive to emotions and perspectives. My goal is to build trust, create a safe environment, and ensure clarity as we work together to achieve meaningful progress.
